Oh, Aimee and Alex… Where do I even start with these two? Their day was as beautiful as them both, and was such a reflection of their personalities and love story. They put so many personal details into their day which made their celebration so personal, and one that their guests (and me) will talk about for years to come!

Their wedding day felt even more special to capture because this wasn’t the first time I’d photographed their gorgeous faces. I was lucky enough to capture Aimee’s sister wedding previously (keep your eyes peeled on the blog for that one), as well as special family photos at their parent’s beautiful cottage. So arriving on the morning of the wedding genuinely felt like I was photographing good friends.

I’d also met up with Aimee and Alex at Iscoyd Park before their wedding, back when their little one was still growing in Aimee’s belly. We spent time walking around the incredible venue together, taking some fun, relaxed photos to celebrate such an exciting season of life before the wedding day arrived. It made returning to Iscoyd for the wedding feel even more meaningful- like watching another chapter of their story unfold.

The morning began slowly and calmly at Iscoyd Manor, with both sides of the wedding party getting ready in different corners of the estate. Aimee spent the morning in one of the beautiful cottages surrounded by her bridesmaids, flower girl, and her mum.

Meanwhile, Alex was getting ready over at Iscoyd, in the Library. With five groomsmen, there was plenty of laughter from the very start!

The whole day was blessed with the most beautiful sunshine, making Iscoyd look even more magical than usual. Every part of the styling felt timeless and luxurious without ever feeling overdone. The florals (oh my gosh, the floral!), the fashion, the elegant details- everything came together so beautifully against the backdrop of Iscoyd Park.

Guests then made their way to Whitewell Church for the ceremony. One of the couple’s friends played piano during the ceremony, which made everything feel even more personal and meaningful.

The ceremony itself felt so intimate, surrounded by all the people who mean the most to them. You could feel just how loved they both are. Aimee’s three best friends did a joint reading which made the happy tears flow, and their little boy joined them for cuddles at the alter which was so blooming adorable.

As soon as they stepped back outside as newlyweds, they were greeted with the most joyful confetti moment outside the church. Smiles everywhere and so much magical confetti flying through the air (dreamy).

Afterwards, we spent a few quiet moments around the church capturing portraits of the two of them together, including some photos with their adorable little wedding car, which honestly suited the day perfectly.

Back at Iscoyd, guests gathered for drinks and celebrations in the gardens. Instead of traditional canapés being served, they chose to have EPIC personalised doughnuts… they went down a storm and looked insane!

Lots of happy candids, group photos and of course newlywed photos followed before everyone settled in for some delicious grub and cracking speeches!

Before taking their seats, Aimee and Alex cut their cake surrounded by all their family and friends, and the cake itself absolutely deserved a moment of appreciation. Covered in real dried flowers, it was completely stunning and fit the styling of the day so perfectly. Elegant, unique, and almost too pretty to cut into- it was a work of art, and so beautiful that it genuinely pops into my head more than a cake should!

Their favours were one of the most thoughtful ones I have seen in all my years as a wedding photographer- they had wrote poems about each and every single guest- and their little love filled poems were waiting for each guest as they took their seat. It was a emotional rollercoaster for everyone- tears and so much laughter!

The wedding breakfast followed, filled with incredible food and four brilliant speeches spread throughout the meal. The balance of emotion and humour throughout the day was just perfect. There were tears one minute and huge laughter the next.

As the evening arrived, even more guests joined the celebrations, bringing the total to 130 for the evening party. The atmosphere completely shifted into full celebration mode, and the energy in the room was AMAZING!

From beginning to end, Aimee and Alex created a wedding day that felt effortlessly stylish, deeply personal, and incredibly fun- just like them! Every detail was beautiful, every moment felt genuine, and it was such a privilege to capture it all unfold.

It was a truly unforgettable day at Iscoyd Park and I will be forever grateful to Aimee and Alex for asking me to be part of such a special celebration of love! xx
