I LOVE a wedding day which true to the two people getting married! Feeling sick at the thought of everyone watching you have a first dance, or make a big speech? Well this wasn’t Amberley and Chris’s vibe AT ALL. So they decided to ditch the traditions and have a big old celebration which only brought them joy, with no anxious thoughts or nerves. (Now don’t get me wrong- I blooming love a wedding with all the traditions too- I genuinely love each and every wedding I have ever had the pleasure of photographing, because it is exactly what my gorgeous clients have dreamt up, planned and loved doing). Anyway, back to the lovely Amberley and Chris… After meeting them at the local pub a few weeks before their wedding day, I instantly knew their day was going to be wonderful. They are such sweet and genuine people, and their wedding plans sounded exactly that too!

I arrived at Dudley Registry Office just before their ceremony, ready to capture guests arriving and those lovely little pre-ceremony moments- Chris having his buttonhole put on by a loved one and their wedding party gathering outside excitedly in the gorgeous sunshine. Once everyone took their seat Amberley arrived with her dad. She looked so stunning in the most elegant laced detailed dress and delicate pearl hair accessories.

Their ceremony itself was simply lovely- they held hands and kept stealing glances at each other throughout, and had a first kiss AND a first cuddle…blooming perfection!

After they officially became husband and wife, everyone gathered outside for congratulations and confetti. Now, this confetti aisle was INCREDIBLE. The confetti was endless and floated in the air like a fairytale (can you tell I love a confetti aisle?).

Family photos followed in the gardens around the registry office- not too many as they really didn’t want many posed photos.

Then it was time for me to steal Amberley and Chris for their newly wed portraits. Instead of heading towards the ruins, we kept the portraits relaxed and elegant with the beautiful registry office and gardens as the backdrop, focused on the two of them just being together and sharing this amazing feeling of finally being married!

We then made our way to Worfield Village Hall in Bridgnorth for their evening reception, and honestly… what a gorgeous setting!!! The hall was decorated with soft fairy lights twinkling across the room, with a huge lace curtain gently sectioning the space, giving everything such a romantic and relaxed feel. It was elegant without ever feeling formal- exactly the kind of atmosphere they wanted.
Guests arrived to pub-style cobs, crisps, and drinks which, personally, felt like absolute heaven! It immediately created such a laid-back, welcoming vibe where everyone could mingle, laugh, and settle into the evening.

The rest of the night was filled with exactly the kind of moments I love documenting most…natural laughter, dancing, chatting, hugs between friends. Nothing forced. Nothing overly posed. Just people having the best time together!

One of the highlights of the evening had to be the pizza van arriving later on. Fresh pizzas being made, which not only looked (and smelled!) incredible- but were insanely good!

What I loved most about Amberley & Chris’ wedding was how it was just a beautiful celebration focused on enjoying every moment together with the people they love most.
Amberley & Chris, thank you so much for having me there to capture such a beautiful day. It was an absolute joy from beginning to end.xx
