Gemma + Matt’s wedding day was the stuff made of dreams. Not only are they THE loveliest humans you will ever care to meet, they are also the most fun too! They don’t take life too seriously, and always have smiles on their faces. As soon as I met with them, I knew their wedding was going to be one for the books!
Like so many other 2022 couples, their original wedding has to be cancelled, due to Covid. Their original plans of a small wedding in Bridgnorth centre, followed by a mini pub crawl and a meal in the local with their favourite people changed over the course of lockdown and their final big day looked very different…
Gemma and Matt’s day still began in beautiful Bridgnorth. They both got ready in The Croft B&B- a quaint nook and cranny building, with so much character.
For their ceremony and reception, they chose of of my all time favourite locations- The Old Vicarage in Worfield. Gemma arrived in style with her bridal party, in an old vintage bus! There was a moment they doubted it getting up the hill- but the little beauty delivered, and they arrived promptly on time.
The Orangery is where their ceremony took place, with their children and grandson being pivotal pieces in their grooms and bridal party. The theming and styling of their day was stunning, and blended with the countryside venue perfectly. And can we just talk about their cake? It was HUGE (and so delicious- vanilla AND coffee cake…oh my days!).
After their drinks reception and group photos, I stole the new Mr + Mrs Haynes for their newly wed photos. They were everything a photographer could wish for AND more. They were up for anything, with beaming smiles plastered on their faces! They were such a joy to photograph and felt more like friends than clients.
The speeches did not disappoint. There were tears of happiness, especially from Gemma’s son’s speech, and so many laughs. The best man even bestowed the honour of lord and lady upon the newlyweds.
The evening reception was wild from the get go. The dance floor was full as soon as the first dance played, and everyone’s dance moves had me laughing until my face hurt!
It was such an incredible celebration for the most wonderful people!
